Roderick Dukes
Oklahoma

Roderick L. Dukes was born and raised in Oklahoma City, OK. Roderick has worked with the USDA/NRCS for just over 18 years across 3 states. He graduated from Langston University in the spring of 2008 with a B.S. in Natural Resource Management. While in school Roderick completed 4 summers as an intern with NRCS in the State of Minnesota (MN), and after graduation he returned to MN to begin my carrier full-time with the agency. From MN, Roderick went on to work in Arkansas and now currently works back in his home state of Oklahoma.

Roderick is currently a District Conservationist managing 11 employees across a four-county team in east central Oklahoma. He has served as the Black Emphasis Program Manager for Oklahoma’s Civil Rights Advisory Committee since 2016. Roderick is also a member of Oklahoma’s Chapter of the National Organization of Professional Black NRCS Employees, and as a member he has served as the Vice President and now he currently serves as the Secretary.

Roderick has been married for 13 years and has 3 beautiful girls. He is a second generation NRCS employee following in his father’s footsteps. Roderick's father retired from the agency in 2012 but continues to stay active as they share in a small cow calf operation on just under 200 acres in the small community of IXL, OK. In his spare time, if he is not spending time with his family, he is riding horses, fishing, or cooking.

Roderick loves every aspect of the NOPBNRCSE and feels so fortunate to have an organization like this that he can be a member of. He looks forward to working side by side with others to strive to further the Mission of this great organization.
