Nicholas Williams currently serves as the Assistant State Conservationist-Programs at the NRCS State Office in East Lansing, MI. Williams attended Tennessee State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agribusiness. He began his work with NRCS as a student trainee in Spencer, Iowa. Throughout his career, Williams has worked in various NRCS field offices, state offices in Iowa, Georgia, Indiana, Mississippi, Alabama and now the Michigan State Office. Williams progressed within the agency from Soil Conservationist, District Conservationist, EQIP Program Specialist, acting ASTC for Management and Strategy, to his current leadership position as the Assistant State Conservationist for Programs. Williams is also a graduate of the Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee leadership development program.
